Students showed great interest in SAR at the Career Day
On Thursday, February 12, SAR participated in the Chamber of Commerce's Career Day at SIS Student House — an important meeting place between businesses and students. SAR was represented by Emma Richards, HMS&K Trainee, and Guro Lunde, Senior HR Advisor, who met many engaged and curious students throughout the afternoon.
At our booth, SAR had the opportunity to have meaningful conversations with students from various fields of study who wanted to learn more about the company, its areas of work, and career opportunities.
There was particularly strong interest in topics such as sustainability, safety, and social responsibility, areas that are central to SAR’s operations.
Business Battle in Tappetårnet
The evening ended with the Business Battle in Tappetårnet, where the SAR met the energy company Lyse for a friendly duel. The concept involved answering questions from the students, even those questions that might not always be asked in a traditional job interview.
The session offered open and honest reflections on, among other things, the working environment, development opportunities, expectations and career path. Such venues provide SAR with a valuable opportunity to showcase the company's culture and values, and to meet students in an informal and inclusive manner.
