510 students and teachers, 59 companies and training offices, and record-breaking engagement made Career Day 2026 an important meeting place between education and the professional world. SAR was on-site to meet the professionals of tomorrow and share opportunities within sustainability, resource utilization, and recycling.
Last week, Richard Steffensen and Tommy Blakstad from SAR Kristiansund attended Career Day 2026 at Braatthallen. The event brought together 510 students and teachers from Ytre Nordmøre, who had the opportunity to meet a wide range of companies and training offices to learn more about various educational and career paths.
For SAR, these meeting places are important. We want to contribute to increased knowledge about the business sector and spark interest in industries that play a central role in the green transition. Through dialogue with young people, we also gain valuable insight into how the future workforce views competence, sustainability, and working life.
Throughout the day, many engaged students visited the SAR stand. They asked great questions and showed significant interest in both the industry in general and the opportunities available within environmental and waste recycling in particular. It is inspiring to meet young people with curiosity, commitment, and a desire to learn more about the industries of the future.
