About the course
Norwegian law requires all businesses that generate more than one kilogram of hazardous waste per year to deliver the waste to an approved hazardous waste recipient. The Pollution Act states that all hazardous and radioactive waste must be declared electronically at avfallsdeclarering.no before the waste is shipped from the waste producer. The Waste Regulations Chapter 11 on Hazardous Wastes and Chapter 16 on Radioactive Waste describe the requirements for delivery, handling, storage, declaration and labelling.
Hazardous waste can be recycled, processed, utilized for energy production or landfilled. Safe handling and final treatment of hazardous waste is only possible if the waste is sorted into the right fractions, packaged correctly, properly declared and handled appropriately right from the start.
Who is it for?
The course gives you an introduction to hazardous waste regulations and how the waste should be declared. Suitable for anyone working with hazardous waste, such as environmental managers, HSE personnel, material coordinators, as well as warehouse and operational staff. No prior knowledge is required and participants will receive a course certificate after completing the course.

Our environmental advisors are organizers. The training is conducted in groups of 5—16 participants (min. 5, max. 16 participants). This provides ample opportunity for questions and discussions.
The course takes place in Norwegian. English courses are offered upon request. Courses cancelled by the customer less than 7 days prior to the start of the course will be billed.
