Here, participants acquire up-to-date knowledge about sustainable waste management. The Academy contains courses and advisory services that help organizations optimize Waste Chain Management, with environmentally friendly and cost-effective solutions.

Hazardous waste expertise

The environmental advisors in SAR provide internal and external support on hazardous waste through training, courses and consulting. Externally, they work on specific assignments both offshore and onshore, such as consulting in connection with environmental mapping and preparation of waste management plans.

Melisa Strenitz

Melisa Strenitz

Environmental Advisor

Melisa Strenitz holds a bachelor's degree in biological chemistry from the University of Stavanger. She has experience in laboratory work in organic synthesis, analytical chemistry and performance testing of production chemicals in the oil service industry. In addition, she has led quality and food safety processes within fish feed research and worked on research projects within fermentation.

Trine Nisja

Environmental Advisor

Trine Nisja holds a master's degree in chemical process technology from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology. She is also a trained science teacher and has experience teaching in high school.

Hanne Hillestad Wold

Hanne Hillestad Wold

Environmental Advisor

Hanne Hillestad Wold holds a master's degree in chemistry. She has previously worked at Stavanger University Hospital as a biomedical laboratory assistant (BLS). Furthermore, she has worked for an oil service company doing the testing and development of production chemicals.
