Recycling and processing

Park and garden waste is composted into new soil.

Requirements and criteria

Businesses generating household-like waste must separate park and garden waste at source and deliver it for material recycling.

On-site composting arrangements may replace this requirement (Norwegian Waste Regulations § 10a).

Further information

Fallen fruit may attract rats if left with garden waste and should be separated as food waste.
