Use suitable packaging according to the quantity. Various types of containers can be used, such as big bags, open-head drums, wheeled bins and containers. Glass and metal packaging must be placed directly in the container, not in bags or sacks.
Recycled as material.
Glass and metal packaging must not be disposed of together with steel scrap.
Businesses generating household-like waste must separate glass and metal packaging at source and deliver it for material recycling (Norwegian Waste Regulations § 10a).
Beverage cans and other aluminium cans should not be sent together with steel and metal scrap, as they go to different downstream recycling providers. If aluminium cans are mixed with steel scrap, everything will be sent to the downstream provider as steel scrap and the aluminium cans will not be recycled.
More thorough sorting may reduce costs.
